This was so much fun to design and build! Overengineered by design to be remixed, modified and customized. Infinitely customizable, robust, practical and more than anything – fun to build. This is a medium difficulty build. You can build this with basic tools.

The gear track on the back is longer than necessary, so you can remix it to make it taller if you want by extending the Upright Frame. ** Blank Frame Slider STLs are included in case you need to remix to fit a different model or brand of rotary tool. The base has holes for table mounting for stability. The Track Brakes allow for positive stop positions, so you can work with both hands free. The drill press will be stiff the first few times you use it. A DXF template is included for marking before mounting to a tabletop etc.

Modeled around 4mm Hex bolts & nuts. Vinyl lock nuts work best, especially for reducing vibrations. You can use regular 4mm nuts with or without lock washers, but with enough use they need to be re-tightened.

• Not all manufacturing standards are the same, therefore you may find slight differences in the tolerances on the bearings – double check your measurements before printing. Remix if needed.

** Some printers struggle with thin walls. There are two models of Frame Slider included – the STANDARD and a Reinforced Frame Slider. **If your printer has trouble printing thin walls correctly, the Reinforced Frame Slider works better as it has no thin walls. **
