We don't like to make holes in the wall to fix pictures. So the boss of the house asked me to make a simple frame that could be glued (with double side tape) to the inside of our cabinets to utilize all that free space. We now have all our cabinets full with our pictures.

Photo frame in standard size (6x4 inches or 10.2x15.2cm). You can orient images in this frame vertically or horizontally. Added 2 accessories that provide a method to keep frame upright, to use this frame on a table or a shelf for example. There is a 10 or 15 degree version. If you like to give the picture some extra protection you can cut a 15x10cm clear acetate sheet. To fix the frame to surfaces use double side tape, I've been using this one https://bit.ly/4949Isi, its easy to cut two little rectangles and easy to remove by twisting the frame if needed.

I've printed always in PLA to make it cheaper to produce. I used different colors to make it more enjoyable. You can print it with 0,6 or even 0,8 nozzle to print faster.

As a bonus i've uploaded a cat version of the frame i made to give as a present. This can be used as suggestion to make your own remix of this frame. Just add whatever thing you like to the frame but keep it under 1mm height to avoid messing with the back support fixations.

Versatile Picture Frame

My ideia with this project was to make an easy modular system that could create different gates with the shapes and sizes.

Initially i made these to use old used Led strips that i had laying around. If you don't have any of led strip i advice you these:

All the gate parts are designed to 10mm Width led strip, but it can fit and hold narrower led strips. You can use non-waterproof or waterproof led strip. Preferably use the non waterproof since they are easy to assemble. But If you must use the waterproof led strip and find it difficult to pass through the 3dprinted parts, put WD40 in a napkin and softly pass it through the led strip to make it easier to insert in the 3d printed part.

With these parts you can make square, rectangular and hexagonal gates with the size you want. Just add the extension parts between connections.
Use "Corner Part", "Hexagon Part", "Extension60mm", "Extension120mm" and "Extension180mm"

You can link the similar gate shapes and create a tunel using the "Link+Part"

The "Feet part" allows you to easily put the gate on the vertical. This part also allows you to link and stack the gates using the 4 slots they have.

The Link_Xpart" its a smaller part that allows you to link and stack the gates using the 4 slots they have.

There is a "Link-Cube part" that you can use to create cube forms.

There are two "Gate Fixation Parts" to use with this part ( https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DEvdJJB ). My ideia here was to have a simple way to fix my gates to any super flat surface like glass, metal sheet and similiar using a powerfull suction cup.

I now have more than 12 single gates, 3 tunels, two cubes linked and all with Led strip. For all these gates i used 4x PLA Clear spools and lots os spool remains from other filaments for acessories. What can i say i like to play with whoops. ;)

Update:
Added Hexagon Tips (short and long with male and female conections) to make half hexagons to indicate the way to turn in our whoop tracks.

Mounting Tip: You can use a little bit of hot glue on conections it will prevent the gate coming loose easily but you will still be able to dissamble it if you want.

WHOOP Drone Gates - Modular System

This sword design was inspired in the Hadhafang - Arwen Sword from Lord Of The Rings

I originally started this project has a gift for a friend who loves LOTR. To make it more 3D printable i made some changes on the original CAD files. Reinforced some weak points and created an internal reinforcement system with steel Rods to be able to handle the sword somewhat.

In attachment with the STL files there is a PDF file with the part list and the instructions to assembly. For the steel reinforcement rods i used m3 threaded rods and a bike spoke i had on the recycle materials pile.

To be able to print the handle like the pictures you will need a printer with multicolor system. Or you can print only the handle without the symbols engraved and pour resin with gold powder. When the handle was finished i applied a clear resin coat to the handle to protect and embellish the engravings.

Print the blade in ABS or ASA to be able to sand it. Assemble it first and sand it several times to remove any imperfections or glue spots and marks. Use epoxy resin or repair putty if you need in any major imperfections, repeat the sanding. Only paint those two parts when your happy with the smoothness of all the length.

I printed the blade Spectrum ASA . The remaining parts where printed in PLA gold and brown.

Warning: Tell your friends SEVERAL TIMES that this is not a real sword to swing around violently. The internal reinforcements help alot on the general resistence and handling but they don't do miracles. Its a prop sword it will surelly break if you use it for showmanship of sword skills.

HADHAFANG - Arwen sword FROM LOTR

This sword design was inspired in the Bride's katana from Kill Bill movies.

I originally started this project has a gift for a great friend who loves these things. To make it more 3D printable i made some changes on the  original CAD files. Reinforced some weak points and created an internal reinforcement system with M3 Rods to be able to handle the sword.

In attachment with the STL files there is a PDF file with the part list and the instrucitons to assembly.

You will need 1,5meter of M3 rods, 2x M3x35mm FlatHead screws, a good quality plastic glue, at least 2-3 sandpapers with different grain, some cans of spray paint to your liking and most importantly alot of time and patience.

Print the blade and scabard in ABS or ASA to be able to sand it. Assemble it first and sand it several times to remove any imperfections or glue spots and marks. Use epoxy resin or repair putty if you need in any major imperfections, repeat the sanding. Only paint those two parts when your happy with the smoothness of all the length. 

I printed the blade and scabard in Fillamentum ASA. The remaining parts whre printed in PLA from Fillamentum. Ivory for the Handle, Collars and Pommel in Gold Happens and the guard in Vertigo Grey.

For the handle i used some cord i bought on aliexpress (search for "Ito Rope") mine had 1cm width and 420cm of lenght. For the wraping go to youtube and search for "ito wrapping tutorial" fill yourself with patience and wrap away... (i used cheats and holded the wraping with sewing pins to help). But you can do this part differently and with other materials.

For the sword rack i used a simple wooden board and two supports i designed. I used 450x130mm but you can go bigger if you like. Paint the board or protect with some varnish to your liking. Print the 2x sword rack thingys, be sure to try out the best position to hold the sword before screwing the thingys to the board. I used some velcro tape (soft/loop side) to protect the sword from any scratches.

Warning: Tell your friends SEVERAL TIMES that this is not a real sword to swing around violently. (even if they secretly had ninja training or something) ;)
The internal reinforcements help alot on the general resistence and handling but they don't do miracles. Its a prop sword it will surelly break if you use it for showmanship of sword skills. 

Sigh..... Yeah you probably guessed it, the sword i made got broken in a more enthusiastic display of the ninja skills from the person who received it. Glue again, alot of sanding repaint and its now fixed! ;)

My girlfriend ask me for an incense holder one day and I decided to surprise her and made this simple, practical and funny design. I've divided the object to make it easier to clean the ashes. I've made 2 versions of the tray for each person preference or depending of the work area of the printer. One version 200mm long and the other divided in two part tray. I've printed the Incense Holder in my felixprinter using Sfact - Normal quality - no support. Printed in white PLA and then I painted the Incense Holder with some water-based acrylic paints. 
My girlfriend loved it and we are still using the incense holder to this day. Hope more people like it too!

I only removed the card from his design to make these files. And added some scratches for that new version. ;)

On the first picture there is from left to right SimonsCat_Stretch -> SimonsCat_Scratch -> SimonsCat_Scratch_MMU. The first two have the contour hand painted.

The name of the files its self explanatory. I made STL files for those who have prusa MMU (and don't want to paint) and also stl files for those who don't.
Alternatively if you don't have Prusa MMU or dual extrusion you can simply change filament color at 1,5mm of height in the print. There is another 1mm to change to black. ;)

A friend asked me to design a wall art piece for him to give to his beloved one. He gave me a sketch drawing and asked me to make it big to hang on the bedroom. This is the end result. Both of them liked it very much.

The complete frame has 700x300 mm. I separated all the parts with a size in mind to fit most printers. I've included a PrusaSlicer project 3mf file with all the parts needed to print.

The parts are fixed with super glue and the help of a straightforward clipping system. I use this glue: https://amzn.to/4by1V7X

If you want to completely remove the lines of the glueing zones from the parts you can use wood filler, sand it and paint over the assembly.
