Perfect. Thanks!
First off. My girlfriend and I really admire your creations. Thank you! We printed this beauty at 300%, she measured at 4 1/2' in length. We wanted her just as a display, having her curled around a large stash of dragon eggs with hatchlings. Unfortunately I never painted her or used the colored version. We had to use the external feeder, with a 3kg spool of white filament(no AMS). But even so, she actually stole the show :)
Aww thank you so much, that means a lot! That's so awesome! I'm so glad everyone liked her <3
I was just wondering how to assemble the body because I saw that there are several different body pieces and I'm not sure if there's a set amount for how many to put or what the different sizes mean.
It's fully customizable so there's not exact right or wrong way :) I use larger pieces for the belly/midsection, smaller pieces for the neck around the head and taper for the tail. (Pieces are S, M, L, and LX). And then pieces that the legs and wings attach to to add :)
Thank you. This is much appreciated!
is this the dragon that people are using some type of smoke with it
I haven't personally seen smoke added to this one but I'm sure someone crafty could hook something like that up
does this print require the wings or can it be printed without the wings?
Each segment prints separately so you can assemble it without the wing segments if you want!
My pieces are printing so thin that they are cracking apart when I put them together and I am being as gentle as I can. Ideas on how to fix this? I am using a silk PLA tricolour. It is so light too! I love that!
How many walls and infill are you using? You can adjust those settings to make it more durable :)
I was using 2 walls and 10%. I upped it to 4 walls and 15%. Thanks for the help
I can't get the fancier heads to attach to the body. Like the gills stick out to far and hit the body so the head won't go on all the way. Is there a trick to this?
Make sure to use the smaller body pieces as kind of a 'neck' to give space before adding the arms/shoulders and larger body pieces :) That should fix it!
I got the walls more stable now and it's definately better. Problem in the ball keeps breaking off when trying to assemble because the fit is so tight. Is there a trick to it?
There are 2 different sets of balls with different tolerances, did you try the looser ones?
