BranchGuide LST Plant Training Stake System
BranchGuide is a simple 3D printed LST (Low Stress Training) stake system designed to guide plant branches outward without pinching or damaging stems.
Designed to train branches outward while keeping stems relaxed and natural.
I’ve never really been a fan of traditional low stress training clips. The sharp bends, twisting, and stress on the branch (I know, I know). I’m also guilty of forgetting about them and leaving them on too long, and removing a bunch of clips from multiple branches can become a chore.
BranchGuide was designed to allow branches to sit naturally inside the guide while the stake anchors securely in soil. This keeps the branch mostly level with the soil while the tips are guided away from the main stem. The result is a natural looking branch that rises upward at the tip.
The guide spacing allows nodes and bud sites to be skipped when needed. Personally, I plan to leave them on throughout the entire grow.
While lower branches are supported with BranchGuide, upper branches can be trained by tying to the eyelets on the stakes.
BranchGuide-45, extends the support outward to guide branches beyond the container edge.
In the photos, the BranchGuide tied with yarn is supporting the upper portion of an autoflower that is bent roughly 70 degrees.
Included files
• BranchGuide stake • BranchGuide-45 angled version • End caps • Full training system layout for easy printing
Works great for
• Cannabis LST training • Tomato plants • Pepper plants • Indoor or outdoor grows
This model is a 3D printable LST plant training stake for guiding branches during low stress training of cannabis, tomato, pepper, and other garden plants.
If you print and use BranchGuide in your grow, please post a make — I'd love to see how people use it.
Suggestion. Before use, run each endcap through the corresponding hole and spin a few times, one at a time. This loosens it up a bit. To remove, separate one cap at a time.
