A basic 3d-model of Uzis Railgun from the webseries Murder Drones This includes a full model and one split into 9 parts for easier printing and assembly using 4mm rods at full scale it's about 136cm long and each part fits in a 20x20x20cm printer with 4mm support rods but it can be scaled and remain well printable with all of these numbers scaling proportionally - there's enough tolerance for the support rods to go up/down in mm steps

How long do the rods need to be? I am mainly finding 30cm and I'm not sure if that is lengthy enough
to use all the support channels along their whole length 4 65cm 3 90cm and 3 96cm ones but several 30 cm ones can work too if you psotion them right nad mainly use them to align the pieces thouhg in that case I'd recommend printing at least the slightly flimsier parts with high enough infill to make them strong enough if there's a gap in support rods within them
I had this question as well. I'm just now starting this and have about 4 pieces printed. Where are you getting the rods from?
you can use rods or pegs from a hardware store, if you jsut need it for alignment I have a 4mm peg yo ucan pritn too but I recommend getting metal rods from the local hardware store and cutting them down to reinforce the whole length
