BrailleBricks
A certain brand that makes building blocks is releasing a set of braille blocks soon. We thought this was a great idea, and decided to make compatible blocks for 3D Printing! These BrailleBricks should be compatible with all existing major brands of building blocks (though we make no guarantee!). This design is our own, and we in no way intend to infringe on other block makers.
This pack contains Bricks that both include and exclude a visual letter/number indicator on the Brick.
We've also included the properly positioned raised dots to integrate into your own project(s)! Simply import into your slicer / modeling program, split the file into pieces, and remove dots to form the letters / numbers / shorthand you want.
Printing Tips These should be printable in standard orientation on most printers. 2 - 3 walls depending on your nozzle size (0.4mm is recommended). No supports necessary, but slow your bridging speeds down (10mms or less) so that the underside isn't messy. You can also print these in multicolor for the visual indicators to help with reading / learning for sighted individuals. Ironing on all top layers can be used for a very smooth surface.
Licensing FREE! We are providing these as a resource and tool to the community. You are welcome to use these how you like, both for personal and commercial purposes.
