Ixus-USB-Charger.stl
A simple charger module for Canon Ixus style batteries. Reverts to using a standard USB charging module instead of stock charger.
The style board for USB connectivity is called: TP4056 Lithium Battery Charger Module https://www.amazon.com/HiLetgo-Lithium-Charging-Protection-Functions/dp/B07PKND8KG/ref=sr_1_3?crid=3909AEOCM5LNG&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.J8XGWBajjJiBRp1o_RZ4yw5Vf3b-tK07qNYodseyXKDs2P0VEpvBhthLuQU6SI2Mtz5eUZEitp1OQ-z3W7oAUpp2WFiKwHO44_NPHPcyaXiaUyKinjibKBW7GPRHY4KCyyNDYuxbMFYCBjEmGfvl5vEjqFIthh3XP0OiwrxubHmaZz6Tb-EM0rOzipelPKXTq3Pq8lkWFKquByzlHsswSODVE4O0g9lc2PYc8MO-q3o._EOiyRVinbgl-MS5u84kh4O4qUGzvShal8ltGR2Q0pY&dib_tag=se&keywords=TP4056+charging+module&qid=1747906986&sprefix=tp4056+charging+modu%2Caps%2C207&sr=8-3
NOTE! It is recommended for maximum battery lifetime to replace R3 on this module with a 4.7k resistor. This limits the charging current to around 200-300 mA and extends overall battery life. :)
Also needs some copper tape or cables, and soldering tools. The tape or cable is melted onto the terminal pins of the plastic so they protrude a bit. The battery should at that point just slide into the slot tightly.
Print settings: ABS or similar "functional" filament 3 walls or more 35% infill of choice 3-4 top and bottom layers Layer height as per choice, 0.2 is perfectly fine
Version 2 notes 2025-05-22: Remade the cable channel for the cables to better suite the charging module. Reversed battery polarity for the same reason. The "w-text" file has embossed text at the bottom and needs supports to print. Added note on recommended modifications to charging module for longevity Version 3 note 2025-07-16: Corrected battery polarity issues. Made Polarity markings easier to see.
