With this one I went with a slightly more darker and serious tone more in line with the original comics, compared to the 90's movie- and toy adaptations. I didn't have any of the particular Turtles in mind when sculpting this one, but the one on my shelf I'm definitely calling Rafael!

My first memory of Vader is the scene in Empire where he chops off Luke's hand. I was probably way too young to watch it because it made such a lasting impression on me. While these days I'm more of a Trekker than a Star Wars fan I still enjoy the movies greatly (with a couple of exceptions), and sculpting Vader was ultimately inevitable.

I wanted to leave my own mark on this Vader, so I redesigned his body a bit, which I hope you don't mind. I believe the spirit of Vader is still there. I left the helmet as canon as I could!

In a way I've come full circle with this one. My first published 3D printable model was a much younger, and stoic Batman. So here's a (much like myself) older, and possibly constipated, Batman who's been through some crap. I tried to make him a bit animal-like, with a snarl and stance like he's ready to pounce.

A shout-out to the people at Prime 1 Studio whose 1/3 scale statue gave me the idea.

(And a special shout-out to my friend Wekster whose input regarding the pegs/keys on my Conan model made me refine the one on this model, making it truly support-less; and also my friend Fotis who is always a positive driving force!)

CONAN THE BARBARIAN!

This isn't your Arnold Schwarzenegger Conan the Barbarian, it's more like your Frank Frazetta Conan the Barbarian, but ultimately it's your David Östman Conan the Barbarian.

I've wanted to do this guy for a good while now, and after the freakin' nightmare that was Spider-Man, I needed to go back to basics and do something I thoroughly enjoyed, so through the hot nozzle of my CR-10S squirted this hunky piece of savage pectoral delight into existence.

So go ahead, squirt out your own plastic Conan, if you dare.

**(For anyone wondering, for the past few years my models have been exclusive to MyMiniFactory, but not anymore, this is why I am only now posting them here. There have been unauthorized reposts of my models here by others, but this is the official Thingiverse account for my models :) )**

So, Captain America. Bit of a remake of the costume, since while I enjoy doing fan art I do want to add something of my own to it and not just.. well.. completely copy someone else's work. Right? I'm not a Xerox machine.

With Cap I kind of stepped away a liiiittle bit from my mantra of, "make something you really enjoy, and don't just do it for the downloads/hits/ego boost/whatevs", because Captain America hasn't really been a favourite of mine. Still, I looked at my shelf and there's Spider-Man, angry, sad, in pain, and I figured he could use the muscely shoulder of his Avengers buddy Cap to lean on.

So here's Cap!

Some more super hero fan art, yay :) I've had this guy sculpted for maybe a month now, but honestly I've been too busy using my spare time to play video games to publish anything new (I had to finish God of War, and, well... then there was the Marvel's Spider-Man game, and now Assassin's Creed Odyssey...)

Anyways. Enjoy! Any questions, drop a comment or hit me up in a PM (which I know I've been lousy answering lately).

**About the design**

It was digitally sculpted in ZBrush as usual, using no fancy brushes or anything, 95% Dam Standard and Clay Buildup, and a lot of smoothing.

As you can tell around the shoulders this Spidey is inspired by the design in the game Marvel's Spider-Man, but not an exact copy. I kept the eyes more low-tech- and the web pattern is a bit different. I did struggle a lot with the spider logo on his chest, and I'm still not happy with it 100%.

The base. It's more advanced than I usually make them, but I wanted to give detailing it a bit more a try this time around. I normally dislike bases that are too detailed and complicated because I think it detracts from the main subject. It was fun, though, and I hope you guys like it :)

This is a new version of my Deadpool bust, that doesn't require any supports. Though I do recommend enabling Z-hop when printing since the swords can curl up a bit while printing and knock them off.

Thanos, in Infinity War, is a pretty interesting guy... He's a villain, but it's difficult to dislike him, right? Also he changes outfits a couple of times in the film, which I'm pretty sure is a continuity fault because his head also changes ever so slighty when this happens, so finding reference material was interesting and momentarily a bit confusing :)

So here he is. Thanos. Infinity War version. No arms, no Infinity Gauntlet, no fingers to snap. You should be reasonably safe putting this guy up on your shelf, should you choose to do so :)

Another big part of my childhood. I was probably too young when I read this at a friend's place, who's brother had a lot of cool more mature comic books.
