This is a model of an alien UFO with a tractor beam below it. It is an elegant, minimalist print and looks great as a desk toy or shelf display. The model can be printed in two parts, the ufo and the tractor beam, which are then connected together using the peg at the top of the tractor beam. Glue is required for a strong connection between the parts. If you do not want to use the tractor beam, you can print the alternate ufo-bottom-nobeam and connector-nobeam files instead.

The vase prints without supports and can be scaled up (as long as you scale the vase and eyes in all axes).

The eyes print separately and can be printed in white and the pupils coloured in afterwards if you don't want to do a multicolour print.

Light up your space with these Tea Light Christmas Trees! Available in three different sizes!

These lovely trees are meant to be printed in vase mode and accommodate space to add a tea light into the trunk of the tree!

The tea light diameter required is 38mm in diameter.

It is recommended that you use the 3mf files provided with the below recommended settings. 3mf files were created in Bambu Slicer so it can be opened in Orca Slicer and Bambu Slicer.

this model is meant to be printed in vase mode.

If you use a different slicer, you should be able to achieve the same effect by using the following settings:


**_IMPORTANT_ Printing Instructions**:
- Print in vase mode!
- Layer height: 0.2mm
- **Bottom shell layers:** 25 (That's not a typo. that's _twenty five_ bottom layers. But don't worry. I've optimized the model to not use a ton of filament even with so many bottom layers)
- Wall generator/wall type: Arachne (The print will still work without arachne enabled, but the bottom just won't look quite as thin as the rest of the print)
- Enable "Print infill first"

**About**
For those who are curious, the filament I used for these trees is Polymaker Panchroma translucent rainbow! That's right! I used the exact same role of filament for all the trees that I printed! Polymaker ftw!

Tea Light Christmas Trees!

This is a tealight holder printed as a single part. You pause the print to attach the curved pieces, then start it again to secure the pieces in place.

This means you have no filament waste and it can be printed on a single colour printer with a single filament swap.

I have attached the stl and the Bambu 3mf which should include the pause.

It's best printed at 0.2mm layer height

A Pendulum Wave. Beautiful to watch. See it in action in the attached video.

It comes with three sets of Pendula and a pusher which slots into the base.

To assemble put an end cap onto the post and then all the pendula with spacers inbetween.  Add the second end cap and slot the post into the stand. 

Make the pendula swing using the pusher or by simply sliding the stand forward and back.

It's a caterpillar. Get it? CAT.erpillar. 

Sculpted in Nomad Sculpt, this is the first model I've made from scratch that I'm uploading to the public. 

3MF is included with recommended print settings for users using Bambu Studio. I have included 2 versions in this model:
- Caterpillar v1: Use this if you're using the Beta version of Bambu studio that allows for crosshatch infill and scarf seam settings.
- Caterpillar v2: Use this if you're using the public release version of Bambu Studio (no scarf seams and no crosshatch infill).
- Please tweak your support settings to suit your preferences and your own printing experience. For some reason, the 3MFs do not save support interface settings, and defaults to 2 layers all the time. I usually use 0 interface layers.

If you do not use the 3MF and use the STL instead, here are my recommended print settings:

**Printing recommedations:**
- Layer Height: 0.16mm
- Seam position: Back, seam gap 10%, or use the contour scarf seam settings
- Walls: 3
- Top Surface: 4 layers, concentric
- Bottom: 3 layers, monotonic
- Infill: 5% Gyroid (or CrossHatch)
- Infill wall overlap: 25%
- Supports: Organic Tree supports
- Support Brim: Yes, 5mm
- Top Z Distance: 0.25mm
- Support interface layers: 0

These are the tiles for the Layer Connections Community Artwork.

Choose one of the two designs and print without supports in any shade of blue. Be sure to check your tile has printed correctly and not lifted off the bed so that it will attach easily to the other pieces.

I have also included a test piece so you can check the tolerance of your tile.


THE CONCEPT OF THE ARTWORK, AND ITS STRENGTH, IS THAT EVERY SINGLE TILE IS PRINTED AND PLACED BY A DIFFERENT MEMBER OF THE COMMUNITY AND EVERY TILE HAS A DIFFERENT NAME ON THE BACK SO PLEASE DON'T PRINT MORE THAN ONE TILE.

Layer Connections Community Artwork Project details

3D Print Bunny and STL Denise 3D are inviting everyone to join together in creating a 3D printed artwork that represents our community and will grow and evolve through the year (2024). The modular artwork, sponsored by Thangs, will travel to four different cities (across two continents) and be auctioned off in December for charity.

When completed Layer Connections will be an artwork made up of hundreds of art tiles each printed by a different member of the 3d printing community. The tiles, designed by 3DPrintBunny, slot together to create a mosaic artwork in shades of blue symbolizing unity and harmony. It is designed to bring makers and creators together to celebrate our community and to raise money for the Sanjay Mortimer Foundation.
