This exists because one day I imagined Teddy from Bob's Burgers as a squirrel, sitting on his stool at the restaurant. We have a couple bird feeders around our yard, but they seem to taunt the crows, jays, and squirrels who are too big for them. So I decided to make a feeder for them; in hopes of getting a picture of a small squirrel sitting on a diner stool eating seeds. Do squirrels like to wear knit caps?

I designed this to be a fairly straight forward project. All the parts are 3D printed, you just need adhesive, mounting screws (if mounting), and a paint pen for writing on the “blackboard.” There are a few color changes, but they're done at layer heights; no multi-material capabilities required. And only one piece has suggested supports.

There is a lot of plastic in this print because I wanted it to stand up to abuse (you can see in my photos that it passed the fat fall squirrel test). This was 45 hours of printing on my MK3s with a 0.6mm nozzle. If someone prints this on a newer, faster printer I'd be interested in hearing how long it takes you.

All the pieces of the restaurant should fit on a Prusa Mini or larger print bed. The roof is just slightly too large for the mini, but will print on most printers.

I made a collection of coasters of malevolent corporation logos from my favorite shows and movies. Or at least the ones I that would work in 2 colors on a round disc.

Each coaster is 100mm in diameter. Color change is via filament swap. The embossing is 0.6mm so it's 3 layers at 0.2mm or 4 layers at 0.15mm layer heights. That height limits any wobble your drinkware may incur from the non-flat surface.

I wanted to add a second webcam to my lack enclosure and decided on using [this mount](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2774553). But the thickness of the mount and the recess of my spare Logitech C615 webcam meant that this trusty mount screw wasn't long enough.

I elongated the screw just under 5mm and chamfered the base since the mount is countersunk.

I enjoyed this mount but wanted the camera a little further from the print bed. I elongated the arm by 60mm and then also lengthened the mount point so it can accommodate a thumb screw such as this: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2749041

After using this for a while I found that it was still not far enough for larger prints. Given that I use Octolapse, the Y axis doesn't need the full horizontal view of a 16:9 camera (like my C920). I decided to alter the mount a second time to give a portrait mount point for the camera. To allow this to print without supports I had to then move the camera cable clips to the opposite face. The downside is that it makes the wire more visible.

I don't see why this wouldn't work for any light weight webcam that mounts with a 1/4" screw. The clips were designed by jsund to accommodate a 30mm cable. I've only tested it with a Logitech C920.

This was a request from my wife, who wanted a way to make her ring light (TcBrilli 10 inch) work with her tablet floor stand (Viozon Model UP-6A).The challenge was to keep the light as close as possible to the tablet without obstructing any of the stand's axes of motion.

I replicated the flange for the 360 degree mount that was included with the light. With that built into my model I can use the light's metal ball joint for maximum flexibility.

Also included (stl only, not pictured) is a vertical mount. It worked but left the light further from the tablet than is ideal.

This is far from perfect, but its not worth scrapping this workable version to fix the issues. Had I to do it over again I would have used hex huts in the bracket instead of brass inserts. The arm clamp also needs a bit more clearance, but the flexibility of PETG makes it work as is. And, while it's not in the original part that I based this off of, I would have added a small recess for the ball joint's grub screw to remove some play from the assembly.

Tablet Stand Ring Light Adaptor

When we moved in there was no way to lock our garage door from the inside. For a couple years we made due with a pair of pliers, but they were too heavy for the mechanism.

This was my prototype, but it works well enough that I'll use it as long as it lasts.

I made my Ikea Lack enclosure 3 Lacks tall. It means less bending to work with my printer, but it also allows for a lot of wobble. The enclosure sits in front of a stove mantle in our garage so I made a mounting bracket that could clamp to it without damage. To help dampen the vibrations I added press fit pads printed in 40D TPU.

You need 2 of the TPU pads, one for the clamp and one for the screw. You should screw the screw partway in before adding its pad.

Prints in three pieces that snap together. The spindle is keyed to prevent the halves of the "spool" from getting misaligned. Features a strand of filament that you can use as an indicator if you are trying to gauge full rotations of the motor. Mine works with 3 8mm x 3mm magnets. Two almost worked but would slip frequently.

The design expects 0.15mm layers and may struggle with nozzle sizes larger than 0.4mm.

Also makes a great fridge magnet.

Assembly
* Take care when removing the filament print from the bed. The little strand of filament breaks off easily.
* Cut the little built in support off the end of the filament strand.
  * I do this with side cutters before removing the print from the build plate.
* Press one magnet into the spindle on the back piece.
  * The back is the one that doesn't have a hole all the way through.
  * The inside of the spindle is recessed by 1mm. Make sure it's all the way in. there should be about 1mm of space left at the top of the spindle. *pictured*
* Snap the front and back on to the filament taking care to alight the key ridges on the inside of the filament with the slots in the front and back spindles.
  * The front will snap in place more easily than the back due to the magnet preventing the back's spindle from flexing.
* Stack two more magnets on the outside of the back then attach to your stepper motor.

Filament (Spool) Extrusion Indicator

Our 70 year home's original garage door springs can't hold up our door any longer; and it resists fixes that are anything short of a full cleaning/rebuild. We're planning to renovate the garage in a year so I needed a quick and dirty stopgap solution.

This is a simple ramp-style door stop with magnets in the bottom to hold it in place until friction can take over. Printed in TPU so the garage door wheels will deform it slightly under stress from the door's wheels.

I used TPU that is Shore 40D hardness. I think something a bit softer (but not all the way to Ninjaflex) would have been better. I printed the handle in PETG because it's what I had in the printer at the time.

I made mine with a debossed monogram on the handle. I have also included an STL without it. 

### Assembly

I made this using 10mmx2mm magnets because it's what I had on hand. Since I needed a bit more _uumph_ I stacked two magnets into each of the four holes (8 total magnets). With rare earth magnets I always like to use a file to scuff the surfaces of the magnets before I glue them in. I also used thin CA so it's really get into the nooks and crannies.

I also glued the handle to the ramp. I use rubberized superglue here, but I don't really think it was needed. I put the glue on the ramp: some on the bottom of the dovetail and some on the backstop that keeps the handle from sliding out the front side of the ramp. A little glue goes a long way.

TPU Garage Door Chock

An over-the-door storage system for empty filament spools. I designed this specifically for the bifold closet doors in my maker space. The hanger needs > 3mm of clearance at the top and 7.5mm behind so it will not work with most doors. It will accommodate a 30mm door. Everything is designed with 0.15mm of clearance.

I wanted to be able access the spools from either end to make it as easy as possible to get to a specific spool. The top shaft lifts off and the bottom screws together. Empty filament spools seem to average about 250g so I fully expect creep to set in, I'm keeping an eye on how fast it happens with PLA.

I got a new desk and needed a coaster. For whatever reason the Blue Sun Corporation logo from Firefly immediately came to mind. Multicolor though filament change. The embossing is 0.75mm off the surface of the coaster, hopefully thin enough to not cause stability issues with any cups.

It always seems like the bottle of CA that I have on hand isn't the one I need for what I'm doing. I decided I needed a fun tray for holding my bottles of super glue in different consistencies.

I decided to design it around an ethyl 2-cyanoacrylate molecular diagram. That left me with some extra space so I included additional organizational features.

* A slot in the front sized to hold a few popsicle/craft sticks
* The oxygen atom at the 4 position will hold an acupuncture needle (for clearing clogs).
* The other oxygen atom is a hole that can hold a sharpie, a small rolled up rag (pictured), or maybe some rolled up sandpaper.
* The triple bond holds a utility knife.

Bottle holes are ellipses measuring 50mm x 30mm. I designed them specifically with 50g bottles of Hobby King CA in mind.

I included STLs for versions of the tray with and without label text.

When we took down our patio umbrella for the season my wife suggested that I design and print a cap for its stand to keep all the leaves and pine needles out over winter.

That only took a few minutes... so I kept designing. I ended up mocking up a miniature version of the umbrella because [TBD]. The angles of the umbrella don't lend themselves to easy printing, but I also didn't try very hard.

Our umbrella stand has a diameter of 43.25mm. There are two lock pins that are 9.35mm in diameter and 33..95mm from the top of the pipe.

# Ikea Raskog Organization Collection

Compatible with the [Ikea Skadis pegboard](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/skadis-pegboard-white-10321618/) using the “universal hook” from [this set](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2853257) (not mine).

We have several [Ikea Raskog](https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/raskog-utility-cart-white-20382932/) project carts at our house and lately I've been using one as an end table. I use magnetic jars to hold on to bits and pieces but I wanted a more secure / stable way to hang organizers off the side of my carts.

Once I figured out how to make an easy to print hook that would clip firmly onto the cart's trays, I realized that I could make a hook that would be cross compatible with the [Skadis Universal Hook Set](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2853257). You can use the universal hook from that collection with most of the items in this collection to use them on the pegboard. And any of the items in the Skadis set that use their universal hook can be used on the Raskog with the universal hook from this collection.

Like that collection this is easy to print (no supports), easy to assemble with no glue, strong, and stable.
 
# One-Piece Hooks

On work carts it's nice to be able to hang tools off the side. I ended up making a couple sizes as a design compromise. The "narrow" version is 4mm square and plenty strong (especially when printed with 3 perimeters) to accommodate things with smaller diameter hanging holes.

The wide hooks are 12mm wide which makes them more stable especially for things that might swing.

*Note: Since these are are single pieces they are not compatible with the Skadis pegboards or that set.*

As I said, I use a Raskog like an end table so I wanted a store my switch so it would be in easy reach. I also rarely put the console in it's dock so I wanted to allow for a charging cable to be attached.

My first attempt was too big for my narrow cables and too small for my really thick cables. I ended up making two widths of slots to handle the many whims of cable manufacturers.

Clip-On Raskog Organizers

I needed a mounting bracket for a dry box I was making. I wanted to reuse a 3/4" dowel I already had lying about but I couldn't find a bracket that was quite what I needed.

The outside piece helps re-enforce, provide air blocking, and to provide shallow recess for the nuts to stop them turning during tightening.

  * 8x M3 x 8 screws (4 per side)
  * 8x M3 hexagonal nuts
* I used a ruler to try to find the center of each side (you can see my sharpie mark). Then used the back pieces as a template to mark the holes I needed to drill through the storage box I was attaching them to.
