Gridfinity Modular Tool Stand - prototype version

I got a bit tired of having to reprint my primary tool stand every time I replaced tools. Even more sometimes I just wanted to change positions, but then I had to print the whole thing again.

So why not gridfinity? The tiles have a small foot print. You can change positions. You can even rotate them. Together with the CLICKbase by John Hall and the Modular racking system by Drekentai HieloRey it's even more simple.

The acceptance criteria is that tools should be grabbed with one hand and the tile should not pop off by putting it in or pulling it off. I don't want to have magnets or screws in the baseplate so items can freely poke through it on the top layer.

Instructions:

  1. Print your "Modular racking system" by Drekentai HieloRey (I dont know if I am allowed here to link to other printables ;)). You need 2 uprights and a 2 x 220mm beams for a bottom layer. Also download and print "Gridfinity Kit - Modular racking system" also a "printables" by Drekentai HieloRey. This should give you half a rack.
  2. Print the attached CLICKbase plate in PETG (PETG is on advice of the CLICKbase author)
  3. Print the attached angled beams in any fillament you like (I used PETG)
  4. Attach the beams to the uprights
  5. Next the most barbaric step (and needs to be refined): Screw the base plate together with the beams with 2.3mm screws (yes, not bolts but screws!), use as many as you please, you can fit eight.
  6. Profit
  7. Enjoy!

Changelog: Updated: Previous upload had a mistake, the baseplate was not correctly saved and was missing the top part.
