This is designed to hold the onn streaming box sold by walmart and an external battery pack to power it. You have to remove the case that the streaming box comes in and there are mounting holes in this model for the screws that come with it. The slots on the sides are to use elastic bands to hold it to your arm.
What's this for? This is a lightweight, low power android device intended to be used as a wearable computer. This runs the android TV OS. It can be used as a thin client by sideloading APKs to it. This configuration has been tested with steam link, microsoft RD client, and splashtop with good results. Also because this is sold as a media streaming device, it can also be used to consume streaming media. Using a 20,000mAh battery, it will run for over 20 hours on a full charge
Assembly instructions: Print the 3 parts Remove the onn streaming box board from it's housing. Difficulty level: credit card Use the stock screws from the board to mount in the printed "shell" part. Use 4 m2 screws to attach the shell part to the "base" part Add foam or padding as desired to the underside parts for comfort. Strap your desired battery pack to the "arm mount" part. Use velco straps through the eyelets on the sides of the parts to strap it around your bicep (this is how I roll, but follow your dreams) The adapter I have fits nicely against the battery, however the velco straps should provide a few options Plug everything in and test it out.
Notes/issues: With the xreal air glasses, they have to run in DP audio mode with this. Hold brightness down for several seconds to switch to this mode. This is required to get audio working, and you have to do it every time it's booted. The HDMI adapter should be able to run with the power supplied by the HDMI cable alone. Make sure you use a decent quality power supply. The board from the onn device has sub-par power management. (I've cooked two so far) This is designed to run in either a stacked setup (pictured) or in a side by side setup with might be more comfortable.
