Historic Information
Introduced in 1971, the Land Rover Series III was the final and most refined evolution of the original Land Rover, first introduced in 1948. Designed to operate in the world's most demanding environments, it quickly earned a reputation for durability, simplicity, and reliability.
The 109-inch wheelbase version provided increased passenger and cargo capacity, making it a popular choice for farmers, explorers, military organizations, humanitarian missions, and adventurers around the world. Whether crossing deserts, climbing mountain trails, or working on remote farms, the Series III became known for its dependable engineering and exceptional versatility.
While retaining its distinctive aluminum body panels, box-shaped design, and rugged character, the Series III introduced a number of technical improvements over its predecessors, including a redesigned dashboard, an improved fully synchronized gearbox, and enhanced driving comfort.
Production continued until 1985, when it was replaced by the Land Rover Ninety and One Ten, the predecessors of today's legendary Defender.
This model is a tribute to the Land Rover Series III 109 and aims to reproduce the characteristic appearance and technical details of the original vehicle as accurately as possible.
