I'm using Cura and Union Overlapping Volumes is ON, should I turn this off? My first print, the gears and inner circles are pretty much one piece. I tried sanding down the first layer and even using a hot utility knife to cut through but I couldn't get anything to turn. I'm trying different settings now but I noticed this one setting is on.
I figured it out. I didn't have to change that setting, but I did have to lower the bed temp and speed up the printing a bit. I did another print and it works wonderfully. Awesome design!
There is really no trick that I know of to loosen them, hopefully they are loose after printing. If not just try to wiggle it around and get them free. If you tell me how its stuck I can help diagnose the issue.
I have found it is handy to have some plastic spudgers, and wiggle them into spaces between parts while putting torque on whatever mechanism you're working with. Often you'll hear a click as the part pops free of whatever it was stuck to. Look for parts that don't wiggle at all, and focus on them.

I've colourised this in Bambu Studio if you'd like me to send you the 3mf file to upload here?
Please do not repost my designs, it is against the license.
could you share the colorized bambu studio 3mf file with me?

I would not recommend printing it smaller.

I'm not familiar with that command, sorry. I am not using Cura. Is it just the first layer? If so it could be because its too low.
Hi, do you print the cover without any type of support?
Turn them off, I guess. 😉 If your printer can bridge 1" it should be able to print it without supports.
What infill % do you recommend?
I use 15% but I also have 6 top layers and 30% outline overlap. They all relate to a good top surface.
Is it scalable? Like, would it print properly at say 150-200%?
I think it will scale well! I know 150% works.
I'm going to try 150%, I'll follow up with my results.
The four outer gears are stuck. Edit: Got them free by turning them with pliers through a rag.
After printing Gift Box #7 Print-in-Place, I can't get the gears started. It there a trick to getting it moving for the first time?

How does this work?
Its described above? Put the top on the bottom, turn the bow and it tightens.
