Don’t be scared by the size of these big Halloween beads 👀 they are meant to stand out 🤩 I created 10 pairs of Halloween designs & each pair includes a bead for vertical stringing and horizontal stringing. These are perfect for trick or treating buckets/bags, keychains, labels for gifts, etc.
3D Print Settings: PLA works great Layer Height 0.16mm, Infill 15% No supports needed
Note: I recommend you turn on the ‘‘Detect thin wall’ setting in your slicer program.
Dimensions of beads: 1 inch diameter x ⅓ inch thick
Note: Beads can be scaled smaller or larger. When printed at 100%, the diameter of the hole in each bead is 3mm (just fyi.)
I have included a 3mf file with the following print profiles (please note each print plate contains two beads: one for vertical stringing and one for horizontal stringing):
Print Plate #1 (Pumpkin): two colors Print Plate #2 (Candy Corn): three colors Print Plate #3 (Bat): two colors Print Plate #4 (Ghost): two colors Print Plate #5 (Spiderweb): two colors Print Plate #6 (Spider): two colors Print Plate #7 (Cat): two colors Print Plate #8 (Eyeball): three colors Print Plate #9 (Witch Hat): three colors Print Plate #10 (Frank): two colors
Update 9/21/24: I attached a second 3mf file that should be used if you want to enlarge the beads. (I printed some at 600% and found I had some 'floating' areas due to the increase in size so I adjusted the files to fix this issue.)
Other items you will need: Elastic cord (1mm or 1.2mm thick recommended) Tassels Metal Keychain Clasp
Here is an Amazon link to this items if you need them: https://amzn.to/3Ldu0FD
How to print: You can use the beads on the plate you need and delete the ones you don’t need but I like to keep the original beads on each print plate and copy/paste the letters I need onto an additional print plate.
How to assemble the keychains: Secure the elastic string or cord to the metal clasp and thread letters on. Stretch the elastic string to make it a little tight and then tie the tassel onto the end.
Have fun printing!!
