Tickler Mini — Shell-ejecting airsoft blaster
Little brother to the Tickler BB-13 and Tickler SA-6, but this one is spring powered and ejects the shells automatically! It's half blaster, half satisfying fidget toy! Works with both 3d-printed bullets and 6mm airsoft BBs!
Printing tips: All the parts are already aligned in the orientation they should be printed in. The Frame Half 1 & 2, Firing Pin and Trigger require supports. Slide has small built-in supports you need to remove after printing.
If you use Bambu Studio or OrcaSlicer, a handy print project file is included with the print settings I used to print this (many times)!
Assembly: You'll need two pen springs, one stronger spring at least 25mm long and one small rubber band to assemble this! Watch the included assembly video to see how it's done!

It didn't work for me at all, it didn't click into place properly and the print file was printed in a very strange way, so I freaked out and smashed the gun on the floor - it was the stupidest purchase of my life
With Barrel B the locking mechanism was not strong enough, I used a stronger spring but even with that and after hours of filing around it didn't work. the locking mechanism didn't work properly with the magazine either i don't know if it's the printing material or the printer i use an anycubic kobra 3 combo, but also have the printer still on all standard settings because unfortunately i'm not very familiar with it. i also noticed that the barrel was a bit crooked on the gun.
i cant agree more
What size spring did you use? And how was the print file printed in a strange way?
how can it be that it works for everyone else and only not for me
i tried it a second time with different pressure settings and it didn't work again i have no idea why and i did it just like you but the springs were all too weak and the mechanics couldn't move freely enough
If the mechanisms are not moving freely enough, it might mean you have overextrusion (and/or fat corners due to wrong k-factor if you have a machine that has pressure/linear advance). You should try calibrating the flow rate (and the k-factor). Sanding parts and applying any kind of lubricant (silicone spray, oil, grease) can help as well.
I had the same issue with support so I used the default settings and it worked great. Wish I’d read the comments earlier as I would have saved a bit of PLA 🤣
Sorry. I'll update the project file to have the default support settings on the first plate... 😅
bad model parts broke i reprint the slide 5 times the spring wont stick
What size spring are you using? If the compressed size is too big, there won't be enough room for the latch to catch.
Overall worked great! It’s a lot of fun to build and use!
I did have some trouble removing the support using the Bambu support material for PLA/PETG, especially in one of those little pin holes, but after that it came together nicely!
The other issue I had was the bullets slipping out of the casings easily, making them hard to load ans requiring you to keep the gun upright - but I managed to fix it by just keeping the casings the same but increasing the bullet size by 2%! After that the bullets worked great and stayed put until fired.
