Project Hail Mary-Rocky for Perfect FDM Printing
the original official model link Project Hail Marry Action Figure
I sought out the original model for my son, who was deeply impressed by this movie.
I rarely remix models I didn't design myself. However, since the original model was not optimized for FDM printers, I performed additional work to ensure a perfect result.
The print results were fantastic, and my son was very happy.
This model is an official file provided by PHM that has been adjusted to print smoothly on an FDM printer.
Most of the original parts are split into two or three pieces, resulting in minimal support and a clean print on all sides. Supports are only partially created at the joints of the body, leaving no visible marks after assembly.
The printing orientation was also designed with the strength of the joints in mind during assembly, ensuring it is not easily damaged during the process.
To minimize hassle during assembly, connectors have been applied only to the torso section; the remaining parts must be joined together using adhesive after visually adjusting the alignment.
The model in the photo was printed at the original size with a layer height of 0.08mm, and the level of detail is truly astonishing.
I have included as many photos as possible instead of assembly instructions, so you should be able to assemble it without difficulty by comparing it with the photos. For reference, the left arm comes in parts with the hand closed and parts with the hand open. (It is provided that way in the original.)
I hope this makes a wonderful gift for those who love this movie.
