A squat, pocked boulder that looks like a chunk of lava caught mid-cooling. The ground where I live is old basalt, so I wanted the pot to read as that rock rather than a picture of it.

The surface is covered in blind vesicle pits — the air-bubble holes that form inside cooling lava. They're recesses, not holes through the wall, so the pot still holds soil and water.

Prints in matte black PLA as a single color; the whole read comes from the geometry under raking light, not from paint. Flat, stable base with drainage holes, and a hollow scooped into the top for one small succulent or cactus. Indoor pot.
