This self-watering plant spike helps keep your plants perfectly hydrated while adding a cute Bamboo Buddy to your home or desk. Simply 3D print the parts and assemble your own automatic watering system.

How it works Water slowly travels from the reservoir through rope into the soil, keeping it evenly moist for healthy plant growth. The Bamboo Buddy acts as a built-in water level indicator — when he disappears into the housing, it’s time to refill the reservoir.

This self-watering spike system removes the guesswork from plant care while adding a fun decorative design to your home.

• Self-watering system with a Bamboo Buddy as a water level indicator.
• More/thicker ropes = more water for your plant. (Exact details in PDF Guide)
• Adjustible water flow with rope setup, adjustable between 6-120h to empty one tank
• Compatible with multicolor printers
• Single-color prints possible: simply paint the face and do 3 manual swaps for the Tank.
• "Big" version included as well.
• Print at 100% size = 100x100x135 mm (smaller size one)
• No supports, brim, or raft required!
• Takes around 300g of filament to print, time depends on your printer.
• for best aesthetic results, I highly recommend using matte-colored PLA
