Pretzel prints Cat Litter Snow Globe

Video tutorial coming soon

You will need:

Snow globe base from hobby lobby or Amazon https://amzn.to/3QiIWZs

JB weld https://amzn.to/3QAffTx

Super glue

Glitter

Vegetable Glycerin from hobby lobby or Amazon (I suggest hobby lobby because it is cheaper per oz)

https://amzn.to/4eW0m7r

Baby oil optional

To assemble:

First print all parts included below. You will want to print the poops separately and adjust the infill to about 75%-80% so they don't sink too quickly. You can play with this to see what you like most. Test them in a glass of water, but remember that you are adding glycerin to help add a bit of thickness to the water which will change things slightly.

Next, paint them if you plan to and make sure to seal them well with a clear coat.

Glue your litter into the litter box, the smallest poop into the litter, and your cat onto the litter box. Leave the scoop set aside for now.

Take the puck out of your snow globe base, this is the part that goes inside the globe before the base is screwed back on. Scuff this up with sandpaper or gently with a razor. Use your JB weld according to the instructions (wear gloves for safety) ****MAKE SURE your cat is positioned to the very front of the puck rather than perfectly centered- you want to make sure the cat can fit into the hole of the globe and it is an exact fit. So please please please be sure that your cat is positioned toward the front. You can rubber band your cat in place over night to dry. I personally spread the JB weld over the entire base and added glitter to the exposed white areas. This is the time that you can also glue down your cat scoop if you want it set in place rather than floating around inside. I use super glue for parts that touch the litter box and the JB weld will secure it to the base. Place it where you like it most but be sure it won't interfere with your ability to fit it through the globe opening.

Once your cat base has dried, take about 1 & 1/3 cups distilled or RO water and 1/4 cup glycerin and mix them together. Add your glitter and the mixture to the globe. Add your poops. Now you are ready to put the cat/base into the water. As you do this be mindful that you do want a bubble of air in the top. If you put your cat in and there is a bit too much water- or it seems like it would overflow, pour a little of the liquid out. This is the tricky part of this whole thing to eyeball. If you need to, add a little more water. There is no exact size air bubble we are looking for, but you want enough that everything can move around nicely.

Screw on the second part of the base. Glue the screw cap onto the printed base and you are done!

If your water looks cloudy- it could be too much glycerin, hard water, or just needs to settle and mix. I find that my glitter doesn't always settle ultimately for a few days or even a week. So far, mine have actually aged better. Clumpy glitter will usually work itself out.

I hope you all like these because I love making them and I have so so so many ideas for fun ones!
