This model is based off of the chain whip sword from the Disney movie Raya and the Last Dragon. It extends and retracts using a string and spool mechanism hidden in the guard.

Materials: String Pen spring Super glue

tips for building:

• don't print the blade pieces too heavy, or else it'll be unbalanced and put stress on the chain links
• use a durable string, I used kevlar
• ensure the string sits flush with the outside of the spool or else it will catch on gear
