Elf Ranger - Easy Multicolor FDM RPG Minis (No supports)
This Week’s Drop: Elf Ranger 🏹🌲
Before starting the next big campaign, I wanted to do a few sidequests, so I asked my Patreons what kind of adventurer they wanted to see first… and overwhelmingly, people voted for a classic Elf Ranger.
Unlike the Harengon Ranger I sculpted before, I really wanted this guy to be posed mid-draw. Which is kind of a nightmare when you’re trying to keep a miniature completely support-free. I pulled it off though!
And because you guys always love variants, I also made a version with a proper green ranger hat and feathers.
This drop includes: Elf Ranger
- Multicolor 3MF file (for multimaterial printers & toolchangers)
- Single-color STL file (for resin or single-extruder FDM)
Key Features
- Easy to print
- Support-free design
- Optimized for multicolor FDM
- Matte PLA recommended to hide layer lines
Note: Use the feature tree to change the colors. Not the paint tool!
Size & Print Settings: 100% Scale (40mm miniature): 45x29x44 mm
- Recommended nozzle: 0.4mm (standard)
- Recommended layer height: 0.12 mm
75% Scale (28/32mm miniature): 33x22x33 mm
- Recommended nozzle: 0.2mm
- Recommended layer height: ≤ 0.08 mm
Note: I design my minis at 40mm scale because it’s the sweet spot for clean results on a 0.4mm nozzle while still fitting a standard 1-inch grid. If you know what you’re doing and have a smaller nozzle, you can absolutely scale smaller.
