These Lion Hunter Pauldrons are a wearable pair of fantasy shoulder armor pieces with a bold lion head relief on the outer face. The design has a strong regal / warrior look, making them a great fit for fantasy cosplay, palace guard outfits, gladiator-inspired costumes, lion-themed armor sets, LARP, costume builds, and display mannequins.

The shape is clean and readable, with a classic armor silhouette and a sculpted lion motif that gives the set a proud, commanding look without being overly busy. They can work well as part of:

fantasy warrior costumes royal guard or ceremonial armor lion-themed character builds heroic female or male cosplay display armor for mannequins action figure and miniature armor scaling

This model is especially nice if you want shoulder armor that feels decorative and strong, but still relatively clean and printable.

📏 Measuring Instructions

To size these pauldrons for a real person:

Measure the width of your shoulder from the neck side to the outer shoulder edge. Measure the curve / span over the top of the shoulder where the pauldron will sit. Measure the approximate upper arm clearance so the lower edge does not interfere too much with arm movement. Compare those measurements with the model dimensions in your slicer. Scale uniformly to keep the proportions correct.

A quick test print of the lower edge or inner shoulder curve can help before printing the full piece.

If needed, you can fine-tune the fit after printing with a hairdryer or a heat gun on low very carefully.

For Action Figures / Miniatures

If you want to scale these down for figures or display models:

Measure the shoulder width of the figure. Measure the available shoulder cap area where the armor should rest. Scale both pauldrons uniformly to match the figure. Do a test print first if scaling very small, especially to keep the lion face details readable.

🖨️ Printing Instructions A 0.16–0.2 mm layer height is a good choice for preserving the lion face details. 3–4 walls are recommended for a stronger wearable result. 10–20% infill is usually enough for cosplay use. PLA, PLA+, and PETG are all good starting choices. For wearable cosplay parts, PLA-HT, FPLA, and elastomer-based filaments / flexible filaments can also be good options depending on the finish and flexibility you want. Print orientation may vary depending on whether you want to reduce supports or get the cleanest outer face. Supports needed depending on how you orient or cut the shoulder curve and lion relief. Sanding, filler primer, and light cleanup will help a lot if you want a polished armor finish.

If you plan to mount them to fabric, straps, or armor harnesses, you can add your preferred fastening method after printing.
