πŸ—½ 3D Printable O Gauge R32 Brightliner Subway Train Dear friends of model railroading and 3D printing,

I'm thrilled to introduce my latest creation: a 3D printable O Gauge model of the iconic R32 Brightliner Subway Train! This model is fully functional, remote controllable via an ESP32 and your smartphone, and runs on standard 32mm O Gauge tracks. It is also compatible with the OS Railway system developed by [depronized].

This model brings a piece of New York City transit history to your layout β€” a tribute to one of the longest-serving subway trains in the world.

πŸš‡ About the R32 Brightliner The R32 subway cars, affectionately known as "Brightliners" due to their gleaming stainless steel bodies, were introduced in 1964 by the Budd Company. These cars marked a historic shift in subway car design with their stainless steel construction, reducing corrosion and maintenance costs.

The R32s served the New York City Subway for an incredible 58 years, making them the longest-running rolling stock in MTA history. Their final run took place in January 2022, where they were celebrated with farewell fan rides across the system.

Now, you can keep their legacy alive on your own tracks!

πŸ›  Features of the Model 🧲 Innovative 3D-printed claw couplers for smooth pushing and pulling between cars πŸ›ž Ball-bearing-supported wheelsets for quiet, low-friction operation πŸ“ Full-length car bodies – each car measures approximately 37 cm (not shortened!) πŸ”‡ Quiet gear motor for realistic and low-noise performance πŸš‚ The powered car can comfortably pull up to 3 cars πŸ“± Remote control via Arduino + ESP32, with the full Arduino project included πŸ“¦ What’s Included STL files for 3D printing the R32 model Detailed construction manual List of required extra hardware Complete Arduino source code for smartphone-based remote control ❓ Questions? If you have any questions or need support, don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m always happy to help fellow makers and railfans.

Happy Printing!
