📏 Measuring Instructions
Before printing, always check the model dimensions in your slicer and scale if needed.
For cosplay wearables:
To size these bracers for a real person, measure:
Forearm circumference at the widest part Wrist circumference Forearm length from just below the elbow to the wrist area Compare these measurements to the internal dimensions of the model in your slicer Scale uniformly if you want to preserve the original proportions
Because these are forearm wearables, it helps to also:
test the fit around the upper forearm opening check the wrist opening confirm that your hand can pass through if needed, depending on how you plan to wear or assemble them For dolls and action figures:
Measure:
forearm length widest forearm width wrist width / circumference hand size if the piece needs to pass over the hand
Then compare those measurements to the model in your slicer and scale accordingly.
Helpful beginner tip:
Before printing the full bracer, print a small test band or scale preview to check fit. This can save time and filament.
A hairdryer or heat gun on low can also be used carefully to fine-tune the fit after printing, especially for cosplay wearables.
