Hi Folks,
I finally saw the latest popular Dino movie 😏 and was pleased to see I have made a few dinos already (the Mosasaurus was definitely a favorite for me!) And now the DILOPHOSAURUS!!!
As usual, I created two head versions (with and without the eye) and a stand. I have also added an XL/Cut Version that needs to be glue together.
Files Included:
- 3MF Project files for the print-in-place and XL/Cut version (to be glued)
- Stls for the print in place and XL/Cut version (to be glued). Straight version, pop-on eye and no eye heads, frill and no frill bottom jaw option, 2 bones and a stand!
Like with all my Flexi's, I went through many iterations to make sure it was strong, and easy to print without supports.
Please feel free to share images of your prints on this page, I would love to see 'em.
Happy Printing -Dan

Print tips and Info:
STL and 3MF files are included. * If you use the 3mf file, please remember that it is a painted project file for your convenience. You must check your material/printer/settings to make sure it works correctly for your printing project.
I print with .12 or .16 layer height for quality.
As usual, make sure you have good adhesion, especially for the mini versions. A glue stick works or I have switched to using on all my machines... a BIQU Cryopgrip Frostbite adhesion plate.
I successfully test printed between 50% and 300% XL for this design. But I recommend 60% or larger for the dinos. If you print the minis, consider using the straight stl or 3mf for printability.
XL version must be GLUED together with Super Glue. I still suggest no supports, though you may have some "roughness" due to bridging on the underside of the rib bones or toes. This is the super glue I use for all my XL dinos: https://amzn.to/4lYylON
