George Nelson:

He introduced the concept of modular storage with the Storagewall system and collaborated with talented designers to create pieces such as the Marshmallow Sofa and Coconut Chair. His studio also produced the famous Ball Clock, which became a defining symbol of 1950s modern interiors. Nelson’s approach emphasized problem-solving and simplicity rather than ornamentation.

Beyond furniture, Nelson was a writer and design theorist who advocated for human-centered environments.
