Great Horned Owl

The Great Horned Owl (Bubo virginianus) is a powerful and highly adaptable predator found across a vast range of habitats throughout the Americas, from the Arctic to the tropics. Often called the "tiger of the air," it is easily recognized by its large, yellow eyes and prominent feather tufts, or "horns," which are used for communication and camouflage rather than hearing.
