Spine Dragon Egg

Recommended Print Settings Layer Height: 0.12–0.20 mm

Walls: 2–3 perimeters

Infill: 10–20%

Material: PLA, PETG, or resin

Supports: Use supports in the critical areas only — the model is designed so that only a few small zones need support depending on your slicer and orientation.

Thread & Image Alignment To ensure the dragon artwork lines up when the egg is fully closed, start the screw connection at a 90‑degree orientation (as shown in the reference image). If the design doesn’t align when tightened, simply back it off and begin threading from the next starting point.

Thread Break‑In Tip For the first couple of turns, walk the threads back and forth gently before tightening fully. This helps clear any tiny print artifacts and ensures the halves seat smoothly.

Scaling for Larger Dragons If you’re pairing this egg with larger dragon models or want a more dramatic display piece, the egg can be safely resized in your slicer. Uniform scaling maintains the thread fit and preserves the emboss detail.
