Hose Clamps 72-126mm
Light duty hose clamp set. These wont replace a standard metal hose clamp but for some non critical or light duty applications these are handier than having to run to the store and spend $$$ every time you need a hose clamp.
Sizes available in 2mm increments ranging from 72mm to 126mm. Sizes are nominal and the size listed is the size prior to tightening. When selecting a size usually a couple sizes higher than what your trying to clamp is best. 3 Lengths of Bolts are available Short, Regular, and Long choose the best for your application. Bolts can be hand turned or you can use a tool, they are pretty tough but will break if torqued on too much! The 3 bolt sizes include in this pack will fit any hose clamps between 72-200mm.
I've included 2 wall hangers for keeping your hose clamps at an arms reach. One hanger fits standard workshop pegboard walls and the other is just a screw on hanger. I used an acrylic paint pen to color in the lettering which works the best. If your skilled with small paint brushes that could also work for lettering.
Printing instructions: Clamps:
- PLA worked good for me but If the clamps need to survive in some more harsh conditions use materials more suited for the environment you'll be using the clamp in.
- I used just standard PLA settings and found using 50% infill created sturdy clamps. This may not be needed though as they are thin and end up mostly being wall infill.
- Print everything on its side including bolts for optimal material layer orientation for best strength. Bolts are designed with flat sides for this reason.
- Usually prints without supports but sometimes my silcer wants to support the bolt holes on the clamps. I use organic supports for this.
Holders:
- I used just standard PLA settings and more infill would create more sturdy holders but I found 25% infill was sturdy enough to hold my clamps.
- You have to use organic (tree) supports on the pegboard version to support the pegs at the back of the model, the screw on versions should print with no supports. Although I always put extra to be safe.
