Foo Dog - Hollow
Bronze Foo Dog - Hollow
Due to the abundance of horizontal and vertical detail, the file size is large and the print time is long.
"Foo Dragons," commonly known as Chinese Guardian Lions or Foo Dogs, are traditional symbolic guardians in Chinese culture. Despite the "dog" or "dragon" labels in the West, these statues actually depict stylized lions meant to ward off harmful spiritual influences and protect establishments. They are typically presented in pairs: a male resting his paw upon a ball representing the world, and a female restraining a playful cub, symbolizing nurture and protection of the home. These iconic figures are frequently seen flanking the entrances of temples, palaces, and restaurants, serving as timeless symbols of prosperity and power.
