Heart Fidget Glider – Dual Button Press Toy Tube
This heart-inspired fidget toy features a hollow tube with two heart-shaped buttons placed inside from opposite ends. The buttons are connected by 3D printed springs, creating a push-back motion when pressed. Because the springs are not fixed to a rigid center point, the buttons move freely and respond in multiple directions, making the motion feel loose and dynamic rather than linear.
The goal of this design was to create a fidget that feels different from standard clickers or sliders. The floating spring connection allows the buttons to move and tilt slightly, creating unpredictable, tactile feedback when pressed. It’s meant for casual desk use, stress relief, or simply keeping hands busy without loud clicking.
This design is also part of a personal challenge I’m doing for the year 2026: designing and releasing a brand new 3D printable model every single day for an entire year. Each design will explore a different idea—some practical, some playful, some reflective. If you enjoy following creative processes, testing new designs, or simply watching ideas turn into physical objects, feel free to follow along and join me on this 365-day journey.
