How to Print:
-
Basic PLA works great (you can also use PLA Silk or PLA Matte but I recommend you reduce the outer wall speed to 50mm/s & inner wall speed to 100mm/s)
-
0.20mm Layer Height
-
Infill 0%
-
No Supports
I have including the following 3mf Project File: Print Plate #1 Twisty Egg_large (settings for Basic PLA): one color, Arachne wall generator selected, 0% Infill
Print Plate #2 Twisty Egg_large (settings for Silk PLA or Matte PLA): one color, Arachne wall generator selected, 0% Infill, Out Wall Speed 50 mm/s & Inner Wall Speed 100 mm/s
Print Plate #3 Twisty Egg_small (settings for Basic PLA): one color, Arachne wall generator selected, 0% Infill
Print Plate #4 Twisty Egg_small (settings for PLA Silk or Matte PLA): one color, Arachne wall generator selected, 0% Infill, Out Wall Speed 50 mm/s & Inner Wall Speed 100 mm/s
Please note: The Twisty Egg on Print Plate #1 and #2 are the same - but plate #1 has settings for printing the Egg in Basic PLA and plate #2 has settings set for printing the Egg in Silk PLA or Matte PLA.
Same thing for the smaller egg size - the small egg on Plate #3 and #4 are the same - but plate #3 has settings for printing it in Basic PLA and Plate #4 has settings for printing it in Silk or Matte PLA.
I slowed down the wall speeds for the Silk and Matte PLA’s for a smoother finish and better articulation/movement:)
Also, ensure your print plates are clean and your filament dry for the best adhesion and print quality. You can also use a little glue on the printbed for added grip 💪
Have fun printing!! Erin

i also printed a brick - egg
standard pla, i think i'll try 10% gyroid now, and little bittle of more clearance
CookieCad PLA Sunrise I just don’t want to break it !
