These magnetic sensory balls are designed to be simple, tactile, and endlessly engaging. Each ball is compact, smooth to the touch, and embedded with internal magnets that create satisfying push-and-pull interactions. When combined, the balls naturally align, resist, and shift in different ways, making every interaction feel slightly different. They’re great as a desk fidget, focus aid, or stress-relief object that doesn’t rely on noise or complex mechanisms.

Magnets used in the design are sized 3 mm thick and 5 mm in diameter

Each ball has a room for 10 magnets

When printing at 0.2mm layers, you need to put pause before the start of these layers to be able to put in the magnets: Layer 22, Layer 47, Layer 78, and Layer 94

The idea behind this design was to create a fidget that feels organic and unpredictable without being distracting. By distributing magnets inside each ball, the interaction changes depending on orientation and movement, encouraging exploration rather than repetition. The result is a sensory object that invites calm, hands-on interaction and works just as well for short breaks as it does for longer focus sessions.
