ELTV Mk1 "STRIKE" _1/10 RC Body and Chassis
ELTV Mk1 Strike
An original compact 4WD tactical RC vehicle designed around creative RC principles
The ELTV Mk1 Strike is not a replica of any specific real-world vehicle. It is an original tactical RC design developed with a focus on proportion, structure, and form, within the context of RC as a medium.
Rather than prioritizing visual imitation, this model was designed to balance printing, assembly, and real driving use, while maintaining a restrained and purposeful tactical appearance.
Tactical Form, Controlled Design
The ELTV Mk1 Strike avoids excessive decoration and unnecessary surface detail. Instead, its design relies on solid volumes and clean lines to convey a tactical character.
The body proportions are kept low and stable, with overall height and mass carefully adjusted so the silhouette remains composed even during driving. Surface transitions and panel lines are refined so the form stands on its own without paint, while still allowing room for various paint schemes and tactical interpretations.
Designed for Printing and Assembly
This model was developed with both 3D printing and assembly in mind, not just visual form.
Parts are divided with printing stability as a priority
Angles and shapes are optimized to reduce unnecessary supports
Structural strength is achieved through geometry, not added complexity
To reduce confusion during assembly, bolt lengths are engraved directly on key parts. This helps minimize the need to repeatedly check part lists or manuals during the build process.
Built for Real RC Driving
The ELTV Mk1 Strike is intended to be driven, not just displayed.
The structure supports both portal and straight axle configurations
Detail density is controlled to reduce the risk of damage during use
Overall balance and proportions were prioritized over extreme performance claims
Rather than emphasizing maximum capability, the focus was placed on maintaining a practical driving structure while preserving visual balance during motion.
Elvis RC Design Approach
Like all Elvis RC projects, the ELTV Mk1 Strike follows a simple set of design criteria:
Printing should not be unnecessarily difficult
Assembly should remain logical and reasonable
Structural choices should be mechanically understandable
The design should have its own identity
This is a model intended to be built thoughtfully and enjoyed over time, not rushed through as a disposable project.
The ELTV Mk1 Strike does not aim to present a perfect answer. Instead, it offers one possible direction for creative RC design.
