A common failure on the Z4 e85/e86 center console door is the light switch actuator tab. The tab easily breaks off which prevents the console light from turning off when the car is unlocked. The only OEM solution is to replace the door for $$$, if the actual part is even available!

This 3d printed part can be used to replace the factory tab. I glued it in place using e6000 adhesive which sticks well to plastic but sticks even better to itself and can be cleanly removed, if necessary.
