A user on Thingiverse reached out to me to make them "a miniature that represents me as a person" - a salt shaker crab. I dabbled with using some AI for this didn't end up using any of the meshes that I created so this ended up being all crab hand made. For sizing I thought the base version at 50mm would be good but also wanted to include a 25mm option too for folks looking for something smaller. What's a crab without something to guard so I played around with rigid body animations in blender and added some randomly distributed salt cube crab eggs.

For FDM printing you can print this upsidedown with the legs pointed upwards. I don't typically like to print minis with their baseplates since it gets in the way of support removal + painting and you can easily glue them on later - if you're printing with the baseplate then I think it's a good idea to print at a 90degree incline on the X axis or straight up. For resin printing the usual auto supports at a 45 degree incline will work well!
