Not So XL Grinch Collection… Inspired Fan Art (Buying the models separately normally costs $31.50 so buying them as part of this collection for $25.00 saves you 20%)

the Not So.. XL Grinch for smaller build plates, below 300x300x300. If you have a larger build plate go for the XL grinch. Lets get into it. 🎄 XL Grinch Assembly Instructions This guide is for assembling The Not So.. XL Grinch 3D model, designed for large build plates (below 300x300x300mm). The assembled model stands approximately 27 inches (68 cm) tall and prints in multiple separate parts. ⚠️ Important Notes Before Starting Glue Required: While most parts are stable, glue is necessary for elements that fight gravity, such as the left arm and hat tail, to ensure stability. Dry Build: It is highly recommended to perform a test dry build first. Assemble the parts without glue to ensure everything fits and you understand the placement of all components. Connectors: The model uses 6 different types of connectors. Spares of the main connectors are included. Organisation: The arms are split into two sections each. Organise your parts (especially the arm components) before starting to make the assembly easier. The head is the most supported object. because of the texture on the model the supports have little impact on the finish. the only part that may have a potential issue is just under the chin. but both my prints the supports came away super easy with setting the top z to 0.275. one final point. in the 3 mf i have set the infill individually on various parts depending on the size. so smaller parts have more infill and larger less, down to 5% Step-by-Step Assembly Guide Follow the sequence below, generally working from the ground up: Step Component(s) Connector(s) Needed Notes 1. Base 4 Connectors Insert the 4 connectors into the base. 2. Boots Long Connectors Insert the long connectors through the boots and into the legs. (This improves stability over the original separate connectors). 3. Boot Cuffs connectors None Slide the boot cuffs onto the leg long connectors. 4. Legs 4 Connectors Slide the legs into place and secure them. 5. Bottom Jacket Fluff 4 Connectors Attach the bottom jacket fluff above the legs. 6. Belt 4 Connectors Attach the belt piece. 7. Main Body 4 connectors Attach the main body section. 8. Neck Fluff & Neck 2 connectors Attach the neck fluff, then slide the neck down and secure it with the single connector. 9. Head 2 Large, 2 Smaller Connectors Attach the head to the neck piece. 10. Hat Fluff 4 Connectors Attach the hat fluff above the head. 11. Hat Main 4 Connectors Attach the main hat section. 12. Hat Tail 1 Connector Attach the hat tail. 13. Hat Bobble 1 Smaller Connector Attach the hat bobble to the end of the hat tail. Arms and Accessories Assembly A. Right Arm (Top-Down) Attach the top right arm section using the large connectors. Connect the lower right arm section. Add the cuff. Attach the right hand. The hand has a connector that attaches it back to the main body. B. Left Arm (Top-Down) Attach the top left arm section using the large connectors (The left and right arm parts are different and should be easy to distinguish). Work your way down, attaching the remaining parts and the 3 connectors. Attach the left hand at the end. C. Candy Cane (This is the same assembly as the XL Elf model.) Slide each candy cane part in sequence (Red, White, Red, etc.) down the square connecting rod. Use the smaller connectors at the bend of the cane. Slide the assembled candy cane into the Grinch's hand. Glue is required for the candy cane. Final Details (Attach Last) These final pieces attach directly to the main structure: Detail Connector(s) Needed Attachment Location Notes Buckle 2 Small Connectors Belt Front Jacket Fluff 2 Small Connectors Main Body Nose 1 Small Connector Face/Head Eyebrows 2 Small Connectors (Each) Face/Head 4 Small Connectors total (2 for each eyebrow). Eyes None Face/Head Each eye part slides directly into the recesses. congratulations you have successfully completed the grinch build. Enjoy the build! Max...
Max Welcome to the instructions for the XL and Not So XL Max If you’ve printed the XL Grinch you will need the XL Max for the correct sizing. For the Not so XL Grinch it will be the Not So.. XL Max. The difference between the two model is the tolerance of the connectors. So the max model is not as large as the other XL models but of course i wanted him to scale to match the grinch. As with other XL Models it fits together with some connectors, there are only two sizes. The model does require glue but i highly recommend a dry build first as the model will stay together without glue. Ive include large inner space to save filament. it dies require some supports but they are minimal. There are some small parts so please make sure you have good adhesion and clean plate before you begin. Filaments used Bambu Basic Brown, maroon red, silver, white and black Ok let’s build. The body prints in one piece, insert the first large connector into the back to attach the tail. Next assemble the collar, insert the 12 silver domes into to each of the cavities around the collar. Next its two large connecting pieces into the top of the body. the collar then slides over. Next in the head which attaches on to the same connecting pieces. Insert the two small connectors on either side of the body. the base of the ears attach here. The long ear is the right as you look at the model and the short on the left. now insert a small connector in the top of each ear and 2 large connectors in the top of the head. you can now slide on the base of the hat to the head and both ears. then its the last large connector to attach the top off the hat. next assemble the the hat tail and bobble using the last two small connectors and this slides onto the the main hat police. lastly the eyes, these don’t have connectors. start with the white then brown and lastly black, paying attention to the names of the pieces making sure you have the right and the left. these then slide into the front of the face. Congratulations you have completed max. sign...
No one understands me like max Sing for the XL and Not So.. XL Grinch Grinch Model available separately Included are two sizes, for either the XL or Not so xl grinch. 0.2 layer, 10-15% infill Filament's used. Bambu basic white black red, Sun peak Green
