Milwaukee M12 Installation Driver – Multi-Board Holster & Multi-Head Storage
Milwaukee M12 Installation Driver – Multi-Board Holster & Multi-Head Storage This mount is designed specifically for the Milwaukee M12 Installation Driver, engineered to integrate cleanly with a Multi-Board wall system. It features four reinforced stabilizing pegs on the back that anchor the holster securely to the board, preventing sag, flex, or accidental drops.
Across the top of the holster, there are three dedicated storage pegs sized for the M12 Installation Driver’s multi-head attachments. Each head is stored upright, visible, and ready to grab.
The main compartment is a quick-draw holster that holds the driver with one head attached, giving you fast one-handed access while keeping your workstation clean and uncluttered.
After a long string of prototypes, here’s the blunt truth: Supports are required. The Multi-Board hooks do the heavy lifting, and without supports they don’t print cleanly or strong enough for real use. Everything else prints cleanly without additional support.
Print Orientation (Important) This model must be printed in the provided orientation.
- The bottom legs of the holster are designed to print flat against the bed, ensuring a clean, strong foundation.
- The top storage pegs must remain upright. Printing the holster on its back or side makes the internal holes nearly impossible to clean and may damage the part.
- Do not rotate it unless you want a bad time.
Print Settings & Design Notes Structural & Quality Improvements
- Random Seam Placement - Improves strength on the top dowels so they don’t shear off or get stuck inside the M12 heads during removal.
- Bridge Flow Set to 0.8 + Thick Bridges - These settings were originally for support-free testing. They are not required for this release but remain in the profile without negatively impacting print quality.
- Support Requirement - Only the Multi-Board mounting pegs require supports. The interior and holster cavity do not need any.
Strength Recommendations
- Infill Density: 20% - Balanced for strength and material efficiency.
- Infill Pattern: Triangles - Strong and reliable. If you tend to yank tools downward with enthusiasm, consider Gyroid for enhanced multidirectional strength.
- Top Surface Pattern: Octagram Spiral - Purely aesthetic — used because it looks good. Customize as desired.
General Print Settings
- Supports: Enabled → Build Plate Only - Keeps cleanup minimal while reinforcing the back hooks.
- Brims: Inner + outer, ~5mm each - Provides excellent adhesion during the tall sections of the print.
- Layer Height: 0.2mm
- Initial: 0.2mm
- All layers: 0.2mm - Good surface finish and dependable strength without excessive print time.
