Print Settings
- Layer Height: 0.20 mm (standard)
- Infill: 15% (Grid or Gyroid recommended)
- Walls: 3 perimeters
- Top/Bottom Layers: 4–5
- Material: PLA (easy detail, best for classroom/desktop use) or PETG (tougher, better for heavy handling)
- Cooling: PLA: 100% after layer 3; PETG: 60–80%
- Supports: Not required for most printers, but may be needed if you notice sagging.
- Adhesion: Flat base, standard skirt/brim works fine
Printability Notes
- Bridging: If bridging across hex openings sags, reduce bridge speed to 20–25 mm/s and set bridge flow to ~0.95–1.0.
- Stack Fit: If bins are too snug, apply Horizontal Expansion of −0.05 to −0.15 mm in slicer.
- Material Choice:
- PLA: crisp detail, easiest tolerances, great for indoor use
- PETG: more durable, good for bins that are handled often
