2x N Gauge 14T Chlorine Tanks
fects of the products carried and shaped to contain greater pressures.
Companies such as ICI, Associated Octel, BP Chemicals and Murgatroyds transported chemicals including liquid chlorine, hydrofluoric acid, liquified ammonia and fluorocarbons in these wagons.
The GWR had built 51 very similar four-wheel tank wagons between 1895 and 1911 for carrying oil, creosote and similar liquids for departmental use. These had basic top hatches with narrower top platforms and would be a straightforward conversion from these prints.
These tanks are designed be mounted on a Peco/Parkside NR-93 BR 12 foot Wheelbase Chassis or a Dapol 2A-000-019 N Gauge 20T Mineral Wagon Chassis.
The end stanchions have pilot holes for tie and bracing rods, which should be made from handrail wire.
Two slightly different examples are included (Diagrams TSO38A and TRO32B)
Transfers for these wagons (and similar Arcton/Ammonia wagons) are available from Cambridge Custom Transfers.
