MAAM_GripR – Modular Articulated Arm for Multiboard
Update: Rev 3_ Updated Screw Joints once again for strength. (See Images).
Update: Rev 2_ updated Screw because it was breaking due to the orientation, during the snaping of it, I reoriented the print to horizontal, and use horizontal screws to strengthen it.
🦾 MAAM_GripR – Modular Articulated Arm for Multiboard (Grip Version)MAAM_GripR is a fully poseable jointed arm with a precision gripper attachment, designed to hold small objects, tools, wires, or parts in place.
Ideal for 3D printing tasks, soldering, resin models, electronics, or cosplay assembly — anywhere you need a third hand.
🔄 Remix Origins
This is a remix combining:
-
🦴 The clavicle joint structure from Dummy 13 (Printables Source)
Changes: Extended neck and resized joints for arm stability -
🔩 The Big Threads from Multiboard (Thangs Source)
Changes: Merged into a custom sphere to connect with the clavicle frame
🛠️ Mounting Options
✔️ Multiboard Wall Mount – Easily screw it directly into your wall-mounted Multiboard using the big thread base.
✔️ Tabletop Core Mount – Like the MAAM-Lamp, you can print a small Multiboard-compatible 2x2 plate and screw it to your tabletop for a stable, freestanding use. (See photos for reference.)
✋ Grip Features
The articulated “hand” grips parts with precision and firmness. I use it to:
- Hold wires while soldering
- Clamp small prints while painting
- Keep components steady during resin post-processing
- Stabilize cosplay parts for gluing or wiring
It’s truly like having an extra hand on your bench.
🧵 Printing Tips
Try the MAAM-Lamp.
PLA is known to creep under constant stress, especially in jointed mechanisms.
🔁 Reprinted in PETG, the grip arm now holds firm even after many adjustments.
⚠️ Add a brim for better bed adhesion — especially for the base and ball sections.
