Mulitboard Velcro Tie Mid-Thread
Description I wanted to mount a power bar on my Multiboard wall, and I couldn't find anything that I liked. I originally wanted to use the keyholes to mount it, but that was proving to be more difficult. I eventually landed on creating a velcro cable tie thread mount, as this seems like it would have several applications.
This was designed to be used with some velcro cable ties that I already had. The tabs are meant to slot in to the passthrough hole in the cable tie to hold it in place, and the slot should be just big enough to pass the cable through to form a loop. The bridges for the slot are pretty short, so they should print without sagging much (mine was able to print with no issues, and left plenty of room to pass the cable tie through). The threads simply screw into a standard Multiboard snap, I used the Raised Snap. This is basically just a Mid Thread T-Bolt with a slot cut out and angled tabs added to a flat face. The thread length is 10mm which should be enough to screw all the way into a snap.
The solution isn't perfect for a power bar, as I couldn't find a way to mount it without blocking one of the outlets, but I don't plan on using all of them anyway. I could see this being used for other applications, maybe for something like cable management, although there may be some lower profile options that are better suited for something like that.
