Phone Vault - For Focus | Desk Drawer for iPhone

Instructions Hardware Filaments

Phone Vault - Intermediate An underdesk drawer to help you Focus. The phone vault is the perfect place to hide your phone to help you focus. The mere presence of your phone can make it harder for you to concentrate and focus, so lock it away!

It also has a spot for an induction charger, so it charges while you're working.

Vault vs Tray? When you download, there is a file to print the phone vault. But its doesn't have a tray yet! Go into the folders, and choose the tray for your iPhone. Print that model as well.

Compatible with All iPhones even if you have a case I made a ton of different tray sizes for all the different iPhones. The drawer also has options to work with the iPhone MagSafe phone case.

Works with the following iPhones with/ and without a case... iPhone 12 mini iPhone 12 iPhone 12 Pro iPhone 12 Pro Max iPhone 13 mini iPhone 13 iPhone 13 Pro iPhone 13 Pro Max iPhone 14 iPhone 14 Plus iPhone 14 Pro iPhone 14 Pro Max iPhone 15 iPhone 15 Pro iPhone 15 Pro Max iPhone 15 Plus iPhone 16 iPhone 16 Pro iPhone 16 Pro Max iPhone 16 Plus iPhone SE (3rd & 2nd Gen)

How does it work? The Phone Vault uses a push-push mechanism to seal away your phone. Push the drawer in to eject your phone. The drawer slides out and folds down so you can grab it out. Fold the drawer up and push it back into the vault to lock your phone away again.

Easy to Print, Quick to Assemble This model is an easy print using only two build plates. To assemble place two springs in the mechanism, add the lock, drop it into the vault and place the drawer over top.

How does it attach to my desk? The Phone Vault uses command strips to stick under your desk.

Nice print, had to make a couple changes for my setup. My print bed wouldn't fit the enclosure, so I split it in two and added some pins for assembly, which worked fine. I bought the springs listed, but two springs were too short to fully push the slider back out. I added a small 6.5mm tall spacer cylinder and it works a treat. overall, nice mechanism and idea.
I made it with Black PLA on an AnkerMake M5! I added a bit of white lithium grease to make it extra smooth sliding action. It came out really nice. the holes for the springs depth is too long for 2 x 40mm springs and added a 1/4" spacer to fill the gap and now it works perfectly! I have a feeling I'm going to use this a lot. Thank you!

Anybody know what prints might use the remaining 8 10mm springs?

:-( why only iPhone?

This first release is iPhone only since they are the most popular phone! Keep an eye out as we may release version compatible with other phones in the future. But for now, iPhone only.

Good question. A lot of Android and pixel users.

Problem with Android, is many diff sizes and shapes vs iPhones

Are there any videos available to see how the spring mechanism works? I have a few of your downloads and would be useful if you created quick videos on how to put together and what it should look like. The manuals are helpful, but videos would x10 the help!

Thank you for your support and feedback! We don’t have a video of the mechanism at this time, but it’s a great idea and something we may consider creating in the future.

Hi, love this project, worked great with my previous phone, but unfortunately I was unable to use it since getting the 17 Pro Max. Are you planning on adding support for iPhone 17 family?

Colby G
ForgeCore

I am glad you like it! We may be adding more in the future but we don't have a set release date on if or when it will happen.

I can see some have split it to be able to be printed on an ender 3, is it possible for something like that to be provided in the download? I don't know my way around 3D design software

I've seen people comment on the springs being too short. Should I get 10mm OD, 1mm Wire Size, 50mm springs instead?

Colby G
ForgeCore

Hi, I'm not sure why some have said the spring is too short. As long as you use 2 of the springs I have linked in the hardware, everything should come together as intended. The instructions page should help!

Is it me or is there something wrong with this platform - the download button doesn't appear to do anything

Hi, if you are a member, when you hit 'download' the file should automatically download. If the file isn't downloading I would check both your internet connection and reach out to Thangs directly so they can assist you.
