Mystic Bloom - MTG Deck Box
There are a lot of 3D printed deck boxes available, but I wasn't satisfied with any of them. My goals in creating this:
- Durable - Protect my cards.
- Packable - I can put this in a bag and not worry about it coming open.
- Frugal - Keep the filament cost low so I can print dozens of these.
- Simple - No additional hardware (screws, magnets) and easy to print.
- Visible - I can see which deck is inside before opening it.
- Elegant - It looks nice.
Print as oriented with the front of the lid facing down. This puts the layer lines in a stronger orientation to avoid the risk of splitting during assembly. To assemble, line the rear of the lid up with the base on one side then slide it in on the other side until it clicks in place. It requires a bit of force. The rear detents will act as a hinge. The lid makes a satisfying clonk as it locks shut. To open, squeeze the base on the front just below the lid with one hand to release the detent and rotate the lid up with the other hand. When open, the cutout on the top back edge allows you to get a finger behind the deck to pull it out (or put it back in).
I've included 3 models with different depths: 40mm: For single sleeved 60 card decks. ~68g of filament. 55mm: For single sleeved 100 card decks. ~81g of filament. 60mm: For double sleeved 100 card decks. ~85g of filament.
I've used both PLA and PETG successfully, and these have held up to 2+ years of constant use.

I printed a whole bunch of these, also for friends and family. They´re just awesome - Also pretty durable without infill. Right now I print the 60mm Version with around 68g of filament Only one of my Commanders didn´t fit - Double Sleeved with Dragon Shield Inner and Outer Sleeves. So I just scaled it up a bit with my Slicer.
Currently printing my eight one of these (first 55mm one for a commander deck, already got two 60mm ones as random card storage and five 40mm ones for modern decks), they're really great! Love the design and how robust they feel.
Love this design. Do you offer a commercial license for selling physical prints of this deck box?
