Umea industrial - a floor lamp with steel/copper/aluminum pipes
Umea industrial - a new version to the famous Umea floor lamp
Elevate your home with this clean and elegant floor lamp. The 3D printed shade diffuses the light for a warm feeling in your living space. Featuring a tripod design which stands out from all other designs Umea is an eye catcher in your home.
Size & Scaling: The biggest part is the shade which requires a build volume of 250x250x250mm Scaling is not impossible but all dimensions are suited for M6 bolts, nuts and so on. This version is designed for 27x2mm steel pipes; other pipe sizes (copper, aluminium) will be added upon request. Log: Also fits American NPS 3/4 Sch. 5s pipes A version for 25x0.5 and 25x1 is added (25mm shade/top & the corresponding insert/spanner starting with 25)
Print settings: _Shade: _ prints in vase mode upside down 0.2mm layer height 5 bottom layers set line width to 0.7/0.8mm
Top: prints upside down 0.16mm layer height 3 walls minimum
Cap: 0.2mm layer height 2 walls 2-5 bottom layer 0 top layer 0-30% gyroid add height range modifier: 0% infill after 1mm Play around with number of bottom layers and infill the create the same diffusion als the shade itself
Filament: For the shade use some transparent filament. I used Bambulabs translucent PETG gray to create that industrial look.
Additional hardware: 3x steel pipes diameter=27mm; wall thickness 2mm; L=1370mm 3x M6x40 countersunk bolts 3x M8 hex nut 1x E14 or E27 light cord

I think it's meant to be... I had ordered Translucent Gray last week
Curious....as I have an EXTRA Umea floor lamp shade from the original wooden version...is this shade contour the same as that....could I use that extra to make this industrial version?
would you consider updating the STL to also support standard SCH/NPS pipe sizes? Right now it’s set for 27mm OD with 2mm wall thickness, but that doesn’t line up cleanly with any common NPS schedule.
Closest would be ¾" SCH40 (26.67mm OD, 2.87mm wall), but the wall is nearly 1mm thicker and might not fit properly. Supporting SCH sizes would make it much easier to adapt with off-the-shelf piping. Thanks!
See here for NPS
Thanks for mentioning that! I checked the dimensions, there is 3/4 with Sch 5s which should fit perfectly. Or is this a rather uncommon one?
I will report back and will send you pics of build. Hm
Hi....I am wanting to use 25mm Steel, but its only available here in 25mm. Are you able to adjust files?
Sure! What is the wall thickness or inne diameter?
Wall thickness is 0.5mm
A version is added, see the description for details
Also how about making plugs for the bottom of the legs? could even be TPG. This would stop pipes scratching wooden floors etc
