Clamshell Cover and Writer Deck Case for Inland MK47 40% Ortholinear Keyboard
This two piece cover is an addon I made for the Inland MK47 keyboard. I wanted something to hold my phone while typing on it, and a way to protect the keys in transit; this is my solution to the problem! The cover is securely attached with magnets and doubles as a stand for a phone to use away from the desk. I use this every day on my keyboard at home and at work.
The only required hardware: 4x 6mmX3mm magnets 1x 7/32" drill bit
The Magnet Template is for match drilling the holes for the magnets in the case. After removing the plate from the case, use the template to drill four 7/32" holes. I used the drill bit to slowly expand these holes to press fit the magnets into, but you may choose to use some superglue to hold them too.
The hinge and the clamshell should snap together firmly, and the magnets will be a tight press fit into the hinge, but probably won't need glue. Just make sure to match the polarity with the ones on the keyboard!
