Nanashi Mumei's Dagger and Sheath
Calling all Hoomans! Don't forget your load out when exploring civilization. This dagger can break down for easy storage in your cosplay suitcase when traveling. Includes a stylish sheath.
- **6/23/25 - Added a belt loop option for the sheath. “Sheath A with belt loop” prints the same as “Sheath A”. Loop can fit a belt 36mm wide by 4mm thick, possibly can fit slightly wider belts. ** The handle includes extra storage with a twist lock pommel! Emergency Chapstick? Emergency candy? Emergency berries? You got it! (But, seriously. Don't hide berries in there.)
This dagger and sheath combo come split in individual parts, no multicolor required! Parts are oriented and ready, just add supports where necessary.
If the blade sits too loose inside the sheath, you can line the inside with a thin fabric inside. This will hold the dagger better thru friction. If the twist lock does not fit, adjust your hole compensation settings to open up the lock holes.
Blade parts can benefit of a brim, to prevent curling on edges. For the guard, use normal supports instead of tree supports. And, adjust you Z/XY distance as close as possible to support the underside of the guard piece. Supports in pommel are optional, depends how good your printer can bridge.
For the sheath, use tree supports on Sheath A and Sheath B, to prevent wobbling while printing. I like to use the “back-oriented seam” option top hide it on the edge of the sheath. Both chevrons benefit from tree supports @ 70 degrees, to prevent layer shifting from the thin upper walls. For the Sheath Cap, use tree hybrid supports: normal supports on feet and tree support on the inside to prevent wobbling. Use “back-oriented seam” if desired.
For the Gold Rivets of the sheath, you will need 4 of them. Add a half drop of glue before installing. Glue is also recommended on inside of Sheath Cap. Sheath A and B parts are pretty tight, glueing is optional. Glue on Red and brown Chevrons is also optional.
Test fitment of the parts, as you may want to sand some of the surfaces before applying adhesive. This can ensure a better bond. Always use PPE when handling harsh chemicals or strong adhesives. If necessary…
