@LeHa Design, would it be possible to get a version that has the hole/adapter in the top? This would mean printing it upside down, but it'd also allow a hanging version of the lamp. Thanks!
Hi Thanks for the idea :) I'll add this on my ToDo List, do make a Hanging Version as well !
Does the model follow a lithophane lighting technique, or is it a topological model?
it combines a surface map with a color map, so you its a bit from both
Is is possible to scale this up to 300mm (or at least 250mm) to take advantage of the Bambu H2D and other large printers? would also need to scale the rock base up as well (for the E26 lamp). Also, is the resolution the same if we do 3MF or slice the STL files ourselves?
Hi, this wont work, since it will get too thin i think. but i got my h2c today, so a bigger moon lamp is on my todo list :)
all the best!
This came out GREAT! I do have a question - on the rock base there's a slot to route the wire and what looks like two spaces to use clips to hold it in place. I can't find an STL or 3MF for those two retaining clips. Can you provide those as well?
Thank you :)
the slot is for two zip ties, so you have some strain relief
Ah, I see, the channel goes all the way through, thanks!
@Leha Design Hello good day! When I try to slice the model it says it has floating regions. When printed there are lines of filament hanging on the model. I removed the hanging filament. There are lines in the print that are visabke when it is lit up. I followed the settings provided for printing along with using the 400mb version model. I am using bambu labs slicer with the A1.
hello, i am sorry this didnt work out for you. Did you use the 3mf file or the STL? it's crucial to apply variable Layer height to the topmost part, to get a smooth top.
pls redownload it, open the 1_moon_3dPrintOnly_v6.3mf and press variable layerheight, to see if it is applied correctly. also regarding floating regions, i ddint get it when i sliced it for the A1 (which layer height did you select? )
I was having that issue with all layer heights. From .24-.12.
I ended up restarting my computer and trying the new file and everything works. I also tried the 5.5 and it works now. It seems to have been a computer issue i assume.
Hi there, New sub here, do you have any suggestions on how to print it on an A1 mini?
Hi,
you'd need to print the 150mm Version. This one is 200mm in Diameter, and afaik the a1Mini only can print 180mm3
can i resize it to like 80%? i saw it on Umi (doing it now) was wondering if I could do the same here?
the issue with resizing is, the IKEA Strala E14 Lamp Socket wont fit anymore.
you can use the 150mm Moon, and if you like i can send you a Rockybase for that as well.
shoot me a mail hello@lehadesign.at
oh i didnt think of the parts, that would make sense. Thank you so much!! sent you an email already.
oh thank you... newbie here. how about the rocky base? can i just resize it and use it?... p.s. your designs actually made me buy a 3d printer (had no interest on it before whatsoever lol so thanks for starting me on a new hobby!)
Hi! Can this be downloaded with the Builder Membership? I see it is restricted by license, and I have read that. But how do I DL it now? Thank you! Love your products!
Hello,
it still has the old license agreement, i've updated it, so you should be totatlly fine :)
Mam, why my moon isn’t giving as many patterns and black marks as you have as shown in the photographs or are there different types of files for that ?
hi which filament did you use? can you share a photo?
Hello, do you think it's possible to print a moon model with PETG matte filament, and can I use the same settings? Best regards
depends on the translucency of the filament. you definitely need to change the used filament, to PETG tho...
Hi, would it be possible to get a version of the base without the secret compartment and the power cord channel? Thanks
Hi
i've added 3_rocky_base_ROCK_noCompartment.stl
all the best
