I’ve always believed that organizing your desk shouldn’t feel like a chore—it should be fun! That’s exactly why I designed Desk Buddy, a quirky little organizer that’s both practical and full of personality. This little figure is laying back in a relaxed pose, with a cute box for a head that holds all your small desk essentials—pens, paperclips, or anything else you need to keep within reach.

What Makes Desk Buddy Special?

• Adorable Box Head Design – The box-shaped head features a cute face (two circles and a triangle!) and realistic details like handle openings and a thickened rim. It’s like a tiny, happy storage box ready to help you out.
• Support-Free, Easy Print – I wanted to make sure this was a hassle-free print, so no supports are needed! The head and body print separately, and I designed a hex interlocking system so they snap together without glue.
• Customizable & Fun – Print it in any color to match your setup! You can also scale it up or down, or even tweak the face to give it a different expression.
• A Conversation Starter – This is more than just an organizer—it’s a fun little sculpture that brings some personality to your workspace.

The Design Challenge & Why I Loved It One of the biggest challenges was getting the pose just right. I wanted it to look natural, playful, and relaxed while still being stable enough to function as an organizer. The other tricky part? Making sure the box head could snap onto the body without glue, but also be easy to print without supports. After a lot of testing, I landed on the perfect interlocking hex design that makes it work!
